QUALITY CONTROL

We are well aware of the possible setbacks when the end product delivered to the customer is short of the desired quality and criteria. Therefore, we as QCTurk highly emphasize the subject of quality control. We have been in control of every stage from the beginning to the end of the production process in line with the quality plans with our specialist engineers experienced in many different industries. By reporting these controls, we can ensure that the ordered product conforms with the specifications and that the production process is monitored, and the order is delivered in time.

QUALITY CONTROL IN WELDED MANUFACTURING

Quality control starts with material input at the very beginning of production and continues throughout the process. As QCTurk, we perform material traceability control, cutting and welding follow up, control of welders, the materials and the proper welding method, control of whether the welding meets the standard, non-destructive inspection if necessary, dimensional control, control of shot-blasting, cleaning and surface roughness, control of painting conditions and painting conformance to standards. We submit reports to customers that the production conforms to their specs and make them rest assured.

Our quality control practices in welded constructions:

  • Checking the sand grid ratio and quality according to EN 8501,
  • Performing pre-manufacturing checks for the parts manufactured pre-welding according to project ITP, including part-list check, weld groove check and dimensional check,
  • Performing welding visual checks or dimensional checks according to the standards given in project ITP or the information given in project specifications,
  • Following up the control of the surface tolerances of the parts to be produced and the planning of the parts to be surface treated,
  • Supervising and controlling that visual, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant and radiographic tests are performed at the rates as stated in project specifications as part of non-destructive test (NDT) application,
  • Using paintings that conform to the coating system specified by the customer and analyzing the ambient conditions,
  • Controlling whether the packaging operation conforms to the procedure accepted or published by the customer.

QUALITY CONTROL IN CASTINGS

Your castings are secured by our employees who have been specialized particularly in controlling the quality of steel castings. We have been supervising from beginning to end, from moulding to heat treatment, from mechanical tests to hardness, to welding repairs and their results and to pretreatment and finishing to ensure that parts are delivered to you with the specified quality and in the illustrated sizes. This way our customers are saved from the loss of time when a non-conforming spare part cannot be assembled or the loss of production due to short service life.

Our quality control applications for cast parts:

  • During the intermediate controls aimed at ensuring that material comes out fault-free at the final phase, non-destructive inspection tests are conducted to find out whether the material contains external or internal non-standard indications and dimensional checks are made,
  • The equipment to be used in production are checked for calibration up to standards, measurements checks are made after machining and non-destructive tests are performed,
  • Controlling whether paints are used that conform to the paint system specified by the customer and the ambient conditions are proper,
  • Controlling whether the packaging operation conforms to the procedure accepted or published by the customer.
