in Avoiding Errors

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Although often used interchangeably to describe the ways of ensuring that a certain service or product is of high quality, the terms “Quality Assurance” and “Quality Control” actually have different meanings.

Quality assurance involves the administrative and procedural activities executed in a quality system in order to meet the requirements and objectives of a product, service, or activity.

Quality assurance is a feedback loop related to systematic measurement, comparison to a standard, process monitoring and fault prevention.

What QCTurk does is to examine this loop, look at the application results and progress and prepare a report for our customers on the presence of supplier’s quality system. We also inspect whether the quality system of a certain project meets the specified requirements.

Our quality assurance practices in welded production work:

  • Controlling whether the producer has suitable certificates for the project entrusted by the customer,
  • Checking whether the welders and welding operators of the producer have been certified pursuant to EN 9606 and EN 14732,
  • Checking the conformance to the Welding Procedure (PQR) standard according to EN ISO 15614’e (Also EN ISO 15607, 15610, 15611, 15612, 15613) and to the Welding Method Specifications (WPS) standard according to EN ISO 15609,
  • Controlling the certificates of non-destructive testing personnel according to EN ISO 9712,
  • Making calibration of the manufacturing equipment in accordance with the standards,
  • Checking whether the purchased raw materials arrive at the manufacturing site with the desired quality for the project,
  • Examining the certificates of the consumables used in production to see whether they conform to the materials listed in WPS and PQR,
  • Checking whether the paint materials used in production conform with the painting/coating system mentioned in the contract,
  • Checking the materials required for the assembly pursuant to the contract with regard to their type and quality of coating etc.,
  • Controlling the documents prepared at the end of the project or in relation to the agreed interim payment.

Our quality assurance applications for cast parts:

  • Checking the ISO 9001 certificate and the calibration of laboratory equipment,
  • Controlling whether the chemical composition of the materials meet the standard,
  • Checking whether the values such as tensile, yield, hardness are according to the standard,
  • Controlling the certificates of non-destructive testing personnel according to EN ISO 9712,
  • Checking whether the welders and welding operators of the producer have been certified pursuant to EN 9606,
  • Checking the conformance to the Specification and approval of welding procedures for production welding of steel casting according to EN ISO 11970,
  • Checking the heat treatment report after the heat treatment, hardness test reports followed by non-destructive tests,
  • Controlling the documents prepared at the end of the project or in relation to the agreed interim payment.
